A spoonful of thokku can turn a simple plate of rice into a meal you look forward to. Our Karuveppillai Thokku pairs the distinctive flavour of curry leaves with the tang of tamarind, savoury onion and the warmth of red chilli and spices.
Made with pure gingelly oil, it is a flavourful addition to your everyday table. Mix it into hot rice or serve a little beside your favourite breakfast for a familiar touch of home cooking.
Ingredients
Fresh curry leaves, pure gingelly oil (sesame oil), red chilli powder, fenugreek, asafoetida, mustard, salt, tamarind and onion.
Packaging, Shelf Life and Storage
- Available jar sizes: 250 g and 500 g.
- Shelf life: 20 days at room temperature or 30 days if refrigerated.
- Storage: Keep the jar tightly closed and away from heat and direct sunlight. Follow the best-before date on the jar.
- Serving care: Always use a clean, dry spoon. Keep water and moisture out of the jar.
How to Use?
1. Take a small serving using a clean, dry spoon.
2. Mix into hot cooked rice, adding more to suit your taste.
3. Alternatively, serve alongside idli, dosa, chapati or curd rice.
